Half of Baby Boomers are cutting back on sugar or buying products that contain less of it. That’s the recent finding from Innova Market Insights which also discovered two in five of that generation are trying to eat fewer sweet snacks. The shifting preferences of a group that’s around 74 million strong are prompting changes in packaged food and drinks. Boomers aren’t alone. Other reports have said close to half of Americans are looking to cut sugar consumption, and seven out of 10 review nutrition labels for sugar content.
