Figures for confectionery and gum buying rates for the top 10 highest consuming countries in the world are set to increase at growth rates of between 0.5 percent to 3.0 percent until the year 2022, according to Innova Market Insights. The research group said global sales were worth US$85.8 billion in 2017 and expected to reach around US$100 billion within the next three years – defying concerns over demand for healthier snack options.
